Naeba Powder Weekend

Naeba Powder Weekend

Weekend powder getaway to the massive, interconnected Naeba & Kagura resorts. Fireworks, hot springs, night skiing, party, free ski & snowboard lessons and more!

Overview

The Mt. Naeba Area is made up of five large resorts and with over 30 ski lifts and three gondolas you can easily spend a week here and still not explore the whole area. Mount Naeba offers a huge variety of different runs and courses, with excellent snow conditions throughout the winter season.

This year there will be a fireworks event on the Saturday night of our trip. There is also night skiing available under the spotlights until 20:45pm when the fireworks show starts.

Naeba Ski Resort is a top destination for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels, offering an impressive variety of terrain and activities. The resort is conveniently connected to Kagura Ski Resort via Japan's longest gondola, the Dragondola, creating the vast Mt. Naeba ski area. With its high elevation, Naeba boasts excellent snow quality and is known for its well-groomed runs, catering especially to intermediate and advanced riders. Beginners will find plenty of gentle slopes, and families can enjoy a range of activities that extend beyond skiing, making it an ideal getaway for everyone.

One of Naeba's unique attractions is its wide array of features, including a terrain park for freestylers, a banked slalom course, and designated kids’ areas, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Those looking for adventure can explore sidecountry areas with guided powder tours, while families and first-time visitors will appreciate the accessible indoor and outdoor play areas. Naeba truly excels in blending thrilling skiing experiences with family-friendly amenities, making it a versatile destination for skiers and non-skiers alike.

With its extensive terrain, modern lift system—including two gondolas and multiple high-speed quad chairs—and the added bonus of the Kagura connection, Naeba offers an exceptional winter resort experience. Whether you’re looking for exciting groomed runs, family-friendly activities, or just a scenic escape in the snow, Naeba Ski Resort delivers a memorable adventure.

Tashiro area (after the longest gondola in Japan from Naeba) became one of our favorites. Lots of powder snow! We enjoyed tree run/back country so much! It was hard to leave the area. Cannot wait to come back. With Tokyo Snow, we can relax and just enjoy snowboarding. Because, everything is well organized. Thank you, TSC!

The trip to Naeba was an incredible experience. The snow resort was great, and I had a blast snowboarding on the mountain. I particularly enjoyed the variety of runs available for all levels of experience. What made the trip even more special was the group of people I met on the trip. It was fun to make new friends and hang out with them at night after a long day on the slopes. We all gathered together to watch the amazing fireworks display, which was truly mesmerizing.
