Great trip, all communication is in English, lots of convenience, would go again (but probably wouldn't visit the monkeys a second time). We were a group of 2 girls and 1 guy and ended up in two separate buildings -- I'd recommend mentioning everyone in your group even if you don't get to room together so you can try to stay in the same bus / building in case a second bus is added. More info below: Bus trip there and back had 2 rest stops each. There was traffic so we arrived at Shiga Kogen around 1am. 2 movies were shown on each ride. Hotel was a couple minutes walk from the ski resort, which was very convenient. Rental gear was ready in the hotel when we arrived. I was even able to get one day of ski rental and one day of snowboard rental, which was really nice. Breakfast and dinners were included, dietary restrictions can be accommodated (I'm vegetarian). The itinerary is pretty descriptive of what happens, though the exact details might be adjusted. Shiga Kogen is pretty large. If you ski on the second day you need to buy your own ticket, which has different prices (e.g. full day vs 4 hour ticket, optionally include the whole mountain vs just the central section, etc). This was a little confusing so I would recommend exploring as much as you want on the first day in case you end up getting the wrong tickets for the second day. The monkeys are quite cute, though the hike to the monkeys was a bit icy. It's ~40min walking to get to the monkeys, so we arrived back at the hotel around noon.

This was my 2nd time to Shiga Kogen and TSC delivered like every time! Got to meet so many people from different countries, had a great time exploring tree runs and shredding the gnar!

Great trip! Shiga Kogen is huge and lots of different kind of runs for all levels, including very nice tree and long runs. As the staff as always very helpful during the whole trip. Totally recommended!

The TSC organization was excellent. very convenient to have expert guide to resort for everything that might comes up. Accomodation was a bit old-fashioned (looks like an hotel from the 70s) but clean and quite confortable.

Great organization of the trip as always! Very attentive to small details, polite, nice and fun tour guides. Felt very organized and safe during the whole trip. I’ve invited a lot of my friends to join the trips with TSC, and they always was fully satisfied. Only good impression and great memories. Simple hotels, but very clean, quiet and warm during winter snowy nights. (Though I do prefer softer and more comfy pillows, but I guess it’s my personal preference lol). Made some new good friends from all over the world. And of course Japan has the best snow quality - pure powder! I went to the best snow resorts in Japan with TSC! Going to do more and more. Hello. I joined the Shiga Kogen trip. We were very lucky with the weather, and overall it was a great trip. Much appreciated that the dicsount for vaccination was included and taking care of. I joined the beginner lesson, which was free and enough to get an idea what you are supposed to do with your gear and not be a danger to yourself or others and how to move around. The slopes were also all super close-by. The hotel was a bit aged but I am not a fussy person, so I did not really mind. The rentals went well, all the stuff was there and easy to pick up and bring back. Food in the morning and especially in the evening was good. The coupons came in handy. It would have been nice if one could choose the day on which to use the lift-pass, since I ended up not using it on Saturday, but would have liked to on Sunday. The party in the evening was really fun, all the games that were set-up made it super easy to hang out with people one didn't know before. The monkey tour on the next day was interesting and I was glad it was included, since I would likely not have gone, otherwise. One thing you might want to consider is moving the departure to a bit earlier, like 18:45 (or maybe at least for one bus, if there are two), since it would have been nice to sleep a bit longer than 4-5 hours on the first night. Also, this is not on the organisers, but you might consider giving out a bit of common sense, and remind people that they are sharing a room, and talking in normal voices, turning on the lights or watching videos with no headphones is not something you do at 3am. "Use your phone light and be quiet" might be good to include in the messaging pre-arrival (this was nothing I personally had trouble with, but people from the neighbouring room had a bad example in theirs). I also thought it might be cool to include an optional snowball fight for those who might be interested, but that might be just me and the person I talked with, not sure how many takers there might be. Overall I had a very good time and would go again, if I was not too broke.
